Candidates must:
- hold ALTP License (JAA/FAA or other ICAO Contracting States)
- be type rated on ATR 42/72 aircraft
- have at least 100 hours as PIC on ATR 42/72 aircraft
- hold class 1 medical and be less than 64 years of age
- have a minimum of 5,000 hours total time
- have a minimum of 2,000 hours PIC multi-engine time
- candidates not meeting all the above requirements may also be considered on case by case basis
